Overdrive, the juggernaut of the digital library space invented their own holiday last year called Read an eBook Day. The premise is to encourage the adaption of reading, while promoting their own services. This year, they are encouraging librarians to share graphics they have made for their own branches, which include flyers, stickers or handouts. The best of the bunch will receive free credits for the Overdrive Marketplace. If you are feeling especially creative or have a few interns who are footloose and fancy free, simply take a picture of your promotional content and share it with Overdrive on social media using the hashtag #eBookLove. They will be sharing some of their favorite submissions throughout the day on the OverDrive for Libraries Facebook and Twitter accounts. |
