| One of my favorite things about the holiday season is the new movies. This year, I am extra excited that six movie adaptations of great books are being released. Book and movie tie-ins are very popular with library patrons, so circulation always increases when a movie version is released. In anticipation of this, we made some Read-Alike collections. Wild Read-Alikes Into the Woods Read-Alikes The Hobbit Read-Alikes Unbroken Read-Alikes American Sniper Read-Alikes Inherent Vice Read-Alikes These would make great curated collections on your digital library homepage! Last spring, libraries that highlighted read-alikes collections for Gone Girl and Diary of a Wimpy Kid saw excellent growth in circulation for the related titles. A case study of selected libraries and included eBooks demonstrated an average circulation increase of 178% over 30 days when compared to the 30 days prior to adding the curated collections.
