Reading Rainbow More Than Triples $1M Kickstarter Goal

Last week we heard about Reading Rainbow launching a Kickstarter campaign to bring literacy to all children, everywhere. The project aimed to raise $1 million dollars before the July 2, 2014 deadline –a goal some may have considered lofty. Today, with 29 days still to go, Reading Rainbow has more than tripled this amount and sits at over $3.3 million dollars (and climbing rapidly)… setting itself up to become the most successful Kickstarter campaign of all time (a title previously held by e-watch company Pebble Technology's with a grand total raised of $10,266,845).

This fundraising comes in addition to an already successful Reading Rainbow iOS app for the iPad –and while no Android app exists yet, LeVar Burton has stressed that the franchise needs to be on Android and made it clear that they will be expanding to include that platform.

Speaking of amazing things, has anybody noticed that LeVar Burton doesn’t ever seem to age?
